Who is responsible for your data

BuntelliSystems is a sole trader business operated by Ben in the United Kingdom, and is the data controller for personal data collected through buntelli.co.uk. You can reach the controller using the contact form on this site.

What is collected, and why

The notification signup

If you enter your email address into the signup form, that address is collected so you can be told when BuntelliSystems software is available. That is the only thing it is used for. It is not sold, shared, rented, or added to any other list.

Lawful basis: consent. You gave your address specifically to be notified, and you can withdraw that at any time.

The contact form

If you send a message, the name, email address, optional company name and message content you enter are collected so a reply can be sent and the conversation can be followed up.

Lawful basis: legitimate interests, specifically responding to somebody who has asked to be contacted.

Anything else

This site sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics package, and does not track you between pages or across other websites. There is no advertising on it and no advertising network embedded in it.

Third parties involved

Three services are involved in running this site, and each one necessarily sees some data.

• Web3Forms processes both form submissions and forwards them to a private email inbox. Your submitted details pass through their systems in order to reach that inbox.
• Cloudflare Pages hosts this website. Like any web host, its servers process your IP address and basic request information in order to deliver the pages to you and to protect the site from abuse.
• Google Fonts supplies the two typefaces used here. Loading a font from Google's servers means your browser makes a request to those servers, which involves your IP address.

No other third party receives your data, and nothing is shared for marketing purposes with anyone.

How long it is kept

Signup addresses are kept until the notification they were given for has been sent, or until you ask for removal, whichever comes first. Contact messages are kept for as long as the conversation is useful, and no longer than two years after the last exchange.

Where it is stored

Submissions arrive in a personal email inbox. The service providers listed above may process data outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States, under the safeguards those providers put in place.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data held about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how it is used, and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis being relied on. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.

To exercise any of these, send a message through the contact form. Requests are handled within one month and there is no charge.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled, please raise it directly first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this notice

If this notice changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes affecting people already on the notification list will be mentioned when they are next contacted.

About data inside the software

Separately from this website, the BuntelliSystems desktop software is designed so that trees, run records and feedback are stored as files on the customer's own machines. That data is not transmitted to BuntelliSystems and cannot be accessed by it. The only exception is information a customer chooses to send directly, such as a support message or feedback, which is handled the same way as any other contact message described above.
